The INN of Escalante sits on the west end of Escalante's small downtown, about 40 miles east of Bryce Canyon National Park on Scenic Byway 12. It operates as an adults-only property — guests under 16 are not accommodated — which keeps the atmosphere quieter than the average gateway-town inn. The property was formerly known as Escalante's Grand Staircase B&B/Inn before rebranding; it's now positioned as a 4-star inn with an emphasis on privacy and setting.
Rooms include private bathrooms, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and either a balcony or patio — many with garden or mountain views. Soundproofing is noted as a feature, which matters in a small inn where rooms are in close proximity. Bryce Canyon NP is roughly 50 minutes west via Scenic Byway 12. Escalante has limited dining options, so plan meals accordingly or bring supplies.

We stayed only one night... But if we could.. We would stay here for three nights at least. Very comfy and beautiful!! The service was excellent 👌🏻 The manager, Emmy was so helpful and welcoming! We got really good treat and had pleasant stay! Thank you a lot!!! Definitely recommend 🫶🏻

The rooms look inviting until you get settled into one then you start seeing bugs crawling on the door, ceiling, windows, skylight, and in your bed! Spiders hanging between the tub& shower, in with the guest towels. No outside lights due to the but issues, very dark out. I was charged $200 more than my friends in the room next door. I will never stay at this dump again! The breakfast was worth it but you have to trek down the street to the other property to eat. The inn keepers did come in while I was gone & clean the dead bugs & bud feces of the door but it didn't stop the problem, they just moved up to the filthy shy light.

The room is cute. But the service was a little off. Check in was confusing. And most of the details were not online. Worth the stay for the free breakfast. The door that is supose to lock and have a code it didn't lock from the outside. Check out was fast and easy, just a text letting the owners know we had left.

What a wonderful stay! The room may not be large, but every inch of it was thoughtfully designed. The native-inspired décor gave it a unique charm while still offering the comfort and elegance of a luxury hotel. It felt cozy, warm, and inviting—the kind of place that makes you want to stay in and relax. One of my favorite features was the stargazing roof. Being able to look up at the sky from the comfort of the room added a magical touch to the experience. The cleanliness was exceptional. The room smelled fresh and spotless from the moment we walked in, creating the same feeling you get when entering a high-end five-star hotel. And can we talk about the towels? Wow! They were incredibly fluffy, bright white, and smelled amazingly clean. Honestly, they felt as if they had just been professionally sterilized and prepared for royalty. It was one of those little details that made the stay feel extra special and luxurious. I absolutely loved the cozy atmosphere and attention to detail. This place proves that you don't need a huge room to create a memorable and luxurious experience. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a unique, charming vibe.
