The Galaxy Motel — operated as Galaxy of Hatch — is a motorcycle-centric motel on Main Street in Hatch, a small town on US-89 about 35 miles south of Bryce Canyon and roughly 60 miles north of Zion. The location makes it a natural overnight stop for riders doing the Bryce-to-Zion run or the broader southern Utah loop, and the owners have leaned into that identity with full commitment.
Rooms
Seven Harley Davidson-themed rooms, each with two queen beds. The rooms feature rock-and-roll and biker memorabilia, and the ceiling fan in each room is rigged to play the sound of a Harley engine when switched on — a detail that either sells you on the place or tells you it's not your style. Towels and sponges are provided specifically for washing your bike. Flat-screen TV, satellite channels, and tea and coffee-making facilities are standard. Free parking is included, with space appropriate for motorcycles and trailers.
Diner and Practical Notes
The on-site Galaxy Diner is currently closed. Guests looking for a meal can walk to Hatch Station Cafe at 177 S. Main, which is open April through October, 7 AM to 9 PM. The motel is open year-round. Hatch is a genuinely small town — no grocery store, limited services — so arrive with supplies if you're traveling off-season. For riders, the surrounding canyon roads offer good day loops to Red Canyon, Bryce, and the Sevier River valley without heavy backtracking.
