About

Ruby's Inn RV Park & Campground sprawls across the plateau just outside Bryce Canyon National Park's entrance, offering everything from basic tent spots to full-hookup RV sites to quirky tipi rentals. The place runs like a small city in summer, with shuttle buses stopping right at the campground entrance to whisk you into the park. No need to fight for parking at popular viewpoints.

RV Sites and Amenities

The RV sites here are genuinely spacious (full-timers rave about the elbow room), especially in the newer back section where big rigs can actually maneuver without drama. Each site comes with its own fire pit and picnic table on a decent patch of grass.

The older section trades space for shade, tucked under mature trees that make hot July afternoons bearable. Full hookups throughout, level gravel pads, and sites wide enough that you won't be sharing your neighbor's breakfast conversation.

Beyond the basics, you get access to Ruby's Inn facilities next door:

  • Indoor pool

  • Hot tub

  • General store

  • Restaurant

The campground has its own laundry room and bathhouses, though timing your morning shower before the 9am cleaning can take some planning. The camp store stocks forgotten essentials at resort prices (pack your marshmallows in advance).

Atmosphere and Location

This is high-traffic, high-energy camping. Summer brings families, tour groups, and international visitors all buzzing with canyon excitement. The newest section stays quieter, set back from the main action. Spring and fall thin the crowds considerably. Winter technically closes the campground, but the hotel's overflow RV parking stays available for hardy souls chasing snow-dusted hoodoos.

The real draw is the location. You can walk to restaurants, catch the park shuttle without moving your rig, and be at Sunset Point in 15 minutes. For a basecamp approach to Bryce Canyon National Park, it's hard to beat the convenience.

Outdoor pool is NOT open by late March. They will let you use the indoor pool at the hotel down the road, but it’s a drive and is noisy. “Ruby’s” owns just about the whole town - and have created a bit of a theme park feel - very put on, gift shops filled with plastic, buffet restaurants - which isn’t what we were looking for. But the actual camp site was clean and quiet.

Your staff charged me $50 to fill a water tank, while advertised price is $10. I called 3 times before my arrival to confirm the price. Every time I told them that my 5th wheel takes 150 gallons of water. Every time I was told $10 per fill up regardless of volume. I first stopped at the Pines campground to take on water. It was closer to our camping spot which we changed due to wildfire in the area. They also promised a $10 fill up for 150 gallons on the phone. When I got there, they told me they will have to charge me $40. I told them I'm buying $150 worth of fuel from them. They reduced the price to $35. I told them to forget it and that I would drive to Ruby's to take on water there for the promised $10. It's a principal thing. When I got to Ruby's, Jone was on the phone with Pines Campground/gas station. They told her to expect me, and to not sell me water for $10. I could tell, because she was saying: "...yep, he just walked in...OK," hung up and informed me that she was warned that I was coming and that the price for me is $50. She said that she confirmed it with the owner - some kid who was sitting in a side room playing on his phone. You cornered the water market that day. Congrats! And this is considering that I have been a guest of Ryby's Campground in the past and stayed there multiple times, for multiple days each. I warned the staff that I post my RV adventures on YouTube and people will know about this encounter. "Have a nice day, Sir" was their reply. I was only able to take on 100 gallons as your dump/fill station is not level and water started pouring out of overflow valve before the tank was full. After I got home, as always, I posted a video of our trip on my YouTube channel, detailing my experience at Ruby's. So far in one week 390,000 people saw the video. I will continue to remind my viewers about ethics of staff at Ruby's campground. I hope it was worth the 40 bucks.

Technically this place was “closed” last night and in the winter however if you go to Best Western Plus Ruby's Inn and talk to someone at their front desk, they will let you stay in their RV overflow parking. Cost $40 last night. We were able to enjoy the hotels indoor hot tub and heated swimming pool. Plus a super warm, well heated, showers and bathrooms by where you park the RVs. They also have a laundry facility as well as a general store where you can buy beer and a little liquor store in the lobby where you can buy wine and liquor. Great, convenient spot with all the amenities, just outside of Bryce Canyon National Park. Recommend!
