Quality Inn Panguitch near Bryce Canyon
Unfussy hotel offering mountain views & free breakfast, plus a seasonal grill restaurant.
About
The Quality Inn Panguitch sits on US-89 south of town, about 20 miles from Bryce Canyon National Park and just 5 minutes from the entrance to Red Canyon — making it one of the better-positioned chain hotel options in the area for travelers who want a reliable mid-range stay without driving all the way to Bryce Canyon City. Panguitch itself is a small historic town with services, restaurants, and a quieter atmosphere than the park's immediate gateway zone.
Rooms and Amenities
The property has 80 recently refurbished rooms with free Wi-Fi and free parking. Free breakfast is included — a practical benefit when you're heading out for an early hike. A fitness center with weight-training equipment is available on site. The hotel is pet-friendly in designated rooms for an additional nightly fee (dogs only).
Dining
The on-site Western House Restaurant serves breakfast and dinner during the operating season (roughly March through October). Having a dinner option on the property is convenient after a full day at Bryce, especially when you don't want to drive into Panguitch proper or back toward the park area.
Location Notes
Red Canyon, part of Dixie National Forest, is the closest natural attraction — its red sandstone fins and arches are visible from the highway and accessible via easy trails. From Panguitch, it's also a reasonable base for visiting Cedar Breaks National Monument to the northwest. Check-in is at 3 PM; checkout at 11 AM.

This hotel is SUPER cute. The rooms are really nice, probably better than we should get for what we paid. The old western style look is charming and the entire space was clean. The location is super convenient, but only 20-25 minutes from Bryce Canyon and centrally located between Panguitch and Hatch. The only reason they lost a star is because we got walked due to a maintenance issue. It happens, but it is still inconvienient

I had booked this property through Booking.com with breakfast and a convenient location for the parks. Upon our arrival, the manager told us they had tried to contact us (no call or reminder of a call, email, or contact through Booking.com) and that due to a fault with the property, they couldn't accommodate us. We arrived at 8:30 PM with four children and found ourselves without accommodations. The manager wanted us to cancel the reservation, so when we called the Booking.com support center, they suggested alternatives that either didn't offer breakfast or were more expensive.
