Dragonfly Motor Lodge

Retro-cool base camp for Bryce and beyond

(182)
Panguitch, UT

About

Dragonfly Motor Lodge is a renovated retro motel on North Main Street in Panguitch, Utah, positioned about 25 minutes from Bryce Canyon National Park's entrance. The property leans into its mid-century roadside origins — the owners have kept the classic motor lodge layout while updating rooms with modern amenities. It's ranked among the top-rated lodging options in Panguitch on major travel platforms.

Rooms and Amenities

All rooms feature self-check-in with private entrances, which suits early arrivals and late returns from the park. Select rooms include a full kitchenette stocked with organic supplies, dishes, and utensils — a real advantage for multi-night stays. The property has fast mesh Wi-Fi, free parking (including accessible spaces), and three dog-friendly rooms (14–16) for travelers with pets.

Location

Panguitch sits at the junction of US-89 and UT-143, making the Dragonfly a sensible hub for more than just Bryce. Red Canyon is a 15-minute drive east on UT-12. Zion National Park's east entrance is roughly an hour south, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon is about 90 minutes away — workable if you're doing a multi-park circuit through southern Utah.

Who It Suits

Travelers who want a clean, well-kept room with some personality over a generic chain stay. The kitchenette rooms are especially useful for families or anyone on a longer trip looking to cut food costs.

Gem of a place! Loved our stay here! Reservation was easy to make online and price was very affordable! Rooms were booked so we were unable to get one night! Recommend planning ahead for your stay here! Two gas fire pits are on the property and would be so nice in cooler weather. We will be back to the Dragonfly soon!

We stayed a few months back and it was great. Loved that the owner Jenn kept some of the vintage and the improvements were in keeping with the history and age of the motor inn. Only thing missing was a vibrating bed for a quarter lol lol Showing my age there. lol I would highly recommend staying here. It was clean and very comfortable Within walking to restaurants

What a cute gem of a place! Perfect for our one night stop over at a very affordable bargain! The multiple charge ports & wifi was worth it alone, but the adorable retro decor & real wood floors won us over! Super easy doorcode room entry & we watched the sunset over a distant mountain view! We loved our stay! 🧡
