Bryce Canyon Shadows Campground sits on Highway 89 in Panguitch, about 25 miles northwest of the Bryce Canyon National Park entrance. It is a privately operated campground and RV park that opened relatively recently and has built a reputation for clean facilities and a straightforward, no-frills setup suited to travelers using Panguitch as a base for the park and the surrounding region.
Site Types and Hookups
The campground accommodates a range of travelers:
- RV sites with full hookups — 50/30/20 amp power, accommodating rigs up to 40 feet; note that sewer is not at individual sites (dump stations are available on property)
- Back-in tent sites for tent campers
- Economical bunkhouse accommodations
- Glamping tents for those who prefer something between tent camping and a room
Amenities
On-site amenities include free Wi-Fi, potable water, modern restrooms and showers, and dump stations. Pets are welcome. Bryce UTV Rentals operates on the same property, offering off-road vehicle rentals for exploring nearby trails — a useful option if you want to cover terrain beyond what you can reach on foot.
Season and Booking
The campground operates April 1 through November 1. Panguitch itself has grocery stores, gas, and several restaurants, making it a more services-rich base than camping inside the park or in Bryce Canyon City. The drive to the park entrance on US-89 south to UT-12 runs through Panguitch Lake and Red Canyon, which is scenic in its own right.
