About

Bryce Canyon Pines Lodge sits right at the gateway to Bryce Canyon National Park, offering a mix of rooms, suites, and standalone cottages. The property has that classic western lodge feel—nothing fancy, but comfortable beds and plenty of space to spread out after a day of hiking. The family suites in particular give you room to breathe, housed in separate buildings scattered around the property.

Pool and Dining

The outdoor pool and hot tub are the real draws here, especially after dusty summer hikes through the hoodoos. Having a restaurant on-site means you don't have to drive anywhere for dinner (a blessing when you're tired and everything else closes early). The whole setup feels like what you'd expect from a national park lodge—functional, unpretentious, and focused on giving you a place to crash between adventures.

Room Features

The rooms lean heavily into country décor, and while they're dated, they're clean and do the job. Some units have fireplaces, though you'll want to confirm you're getting the room type you booked. Parking is easy and plentiful, which matters more than you'd think when you're hauling gear in and out.

Prime Location Benefits

Location-wise, you're perfectly positioned for early morning park entry—close enough to beat the crowds to Sunrise Point, far enough out to see actual stars at night. The lodge works as a simple basecamp for exploring:

  • Bryce Canyon National Park

  • Red Canyon

  • Scenic byways that spider out from here

Just know what you're getting: a straightforward lodge that prioritizes location and basic comforts over luxury touches.

Pros: Comfortable beds with light comforters. Plenty of Plush towels. Great TV. Nice quiet grounds with beautiful pool. Nice lobby with friendly staff. Small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Great water pressure and hot water. Nice toiletries. Excellent flat-screen TV. Cons: Rug was spotted and not very clean. AC worked sort of and was loud and rattled barely maintaining a comfortable room temp. Lighting is poor. I would classify this as a budget motor inn ok for an overnight stay. Room needs new carpet and some lighting updates. All in all ok. Would not return.

Walls are paper thin, heard the neighbors doing everything. Beds were decent, room had things under the bed and front lobby door is precarious in the wind. I wont be returning. Be aware of the neighboring restaraunt. $25 for dry chicken and potato... passss
