Best Western Plus Bryce Canyon Grand Hotel
Country comfort with spacious rooms, hearty breakfast, and a pool to splash in after dusty trails.
About
Clean Rooms and Comfortable Beds Near the Park
The Best Western Plus Bryce Canyon Grand delivers exactly what road-weary travelers need: clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a breakfast spread that'll fuel your morning hike. You're five minutes from the park entrance, which means you can catch sunrise at Sunrise Point without setting an alarm for 4 a.m.
Rooms here run larger than typical chain hotels. Double vanities mean no morning bathroom battles, and the beds get consistent praise from guests who've been bouncing between parks. The outdoor pool hits different after a day on dusty trails (trust me, your kids will thank you). Free breakfast goes beyond the usual sad bagel station. Think fresh options, hot items, and staff who actually keep things stocked during the morning rush.
Perfect Location and Practical Amenities
The location puts you in the sweet spot. Walk to dinner at one of Bryce Canyon City's restaurants, grab forgotten sunscreen at the general store, or fuel up before heading into the park. Everything's right there. The fitness center works for keeping your routine, and the coin laundry means you don't have to wear that same shirt for the fourth day straight.
This isn't a boutique experience with handcrafted soap and artisan coffee. It's a reliable, comfortable base camp where:
Everything works
The staff care about your stay
You wake up refreshed for whatever Bryce Canyon throws at you
For families bouncing between Utah's parks or anyone who values space and convenience over Instagram aesthetics, it's hard to beat.

We had a wonderful stay here for two nights. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a great variety of options. My kids especially loved spending time in the pool. The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable, making for a very pleasant stay. We would happily stay here again.

Nice hotel very close to the entrance to Bryce National Park. Very large but very dated rooms. However, they are clean and well-kept. The common areas are a bit run-down because they're old and have a bad smell, which fortunately isn't present in the rooms. Overall, a good hotel. Friendly staff.

If you only read one review about this hotel, it should be this one. My husband and I stayed 1 night here. We cancelled our reservation at a cheaper hotel because we wanted to treat ourselves to what we thought would be an upscale experience. Out of 6 hotels we stayed at during our NPS trip, this hotel, at $240/night, was by far the most expensive and by far the worst. When we arrived at 6pm, the automatic sliding doors to the lobby were stuck nearly shut. A single person could pass through, but the opening was too small for even a luggage trolley. The front desk was notified; no one came over. Several guests including us struggled with the door until one male guest was finally able to force the doors open for a moment until they began to close on another guest. Had there been an emergency, like a fire, it would have been very dangerous. Shortly after, my husband tried to make himself a coffee at the lobby espresso machine. Only water came out. He alerted the front desk. We then went to Bryce for their evening programs. About 6 hours later, around midnight, we were about to head deeper into the park for stargazing but agreed that refueling with a coffee would be a good idea. To avoid coming all the way back to a broken coffee maker, I decided to call the front desk to ask if it had been fixed. I called 3 times and no one answered. We decided to drive back anyway. When we arrived, the night manager, Tammy, was at the front desk. I told her the phone may be broken as I had tried to call, and she looked at me completely expressionless and seemed annoyed that I was talking to her. I found the coffee machine still broken and alerted her to this, and still without any emotion, she said "That's for the kitchen." I asked her what she meant by that and she said "The kitchen fixes the coffee machine and they are not here until tomorrow." I asked if there was a carafe of coffee or something and she shook her head, then questioned if we were guests at the hotel. The entire interaction was extremely cold, unfriendly, and inhospitable. But wait, there's more! The side door of the hotel doesn't latch, meaning any person can enter without a key. The second floor ice machine beeped incessantly the entire time we were there. Our bedskirts were torn. I could go on and on. I emailed Eric Syrett, the GM who responds to all of these reviews, 5 minutes after checkout. He took 3 days to reply to my email and said he hoped we'd give them another chance. I replied and asked for a partial refund to make things right. It's been a week and I haven't heard back. Save your money and go somewhere else. You won't be a valued guest here.
