Willis Creek Trailhead

The Willis Creek Trailhead sits on Skutumpah Road about 9 miles south of Cannonville — from town, follow Main Street 2.9 miles past the Grand Staircase-Escalante Visitor Center, then continue 6 miles on the graded dirt of Skutumpah Road to the signed parking area. It's also reachable from the south via Johnson Canyon Road off Highway 89, a longer backcountry approach for those coming from Kanab.

• Skutumpah Road is passable to most vehicles when dry but can become impassable when wet — check conditions before heading out
• Parking and the trailhead sign are clearly marked where the road crosses Willis Creek wash
• No fee or permit required to park and hike; this is BLM-managed Grand Staircase-Escalante land
