Virgin River Rim Trail - Strawberry Point to Cascade Falls

This 6.3-mile stretch of the Virgin River Rim Trail runs through Dixie National Forest between Strawberry Point and Cascade Falls, high on the plateau country above Duck Creek Village. It's one segment of a much longer rim trail that continues for roughly 32 miles total, and this piece is a genuine, well-used part of it — not a mapped-only route.

What to expect

• Dirt singletrack open to hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders; closed to motorized vehicles
• Strawberry Point end sits near 9,000 feet with sweeping views over the plateau — stay back from the cliff edge
• Trail ends at Cascade Falls, where a short spur off the main trailhead reaches the falls itself
• Pit toilets at the Cascade Falls Trailhead; no potable water anywhere on the route

The Cedar City Ranger District manages this section, and like most of the rim trail it's typically open Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather permitting — snow lingers at this elevation well into late spring. Bring a filter if you're counting on the seasonal streams.
