Trail To Grosvenor Arch
A flat, easy path to a 150-foot double sandstone arch

About
Grosvenor Arch is a double sandstone arch in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, southeast of Cannonville, with its larger span towering roughly 150 feet high and nearly 90 feet wide. The trail to it is short and easy: from the parking area, a flat, three-foot-wide cement path covers about 200 yards to the base of the arch, with barely any elevation gain, making it accessible to nearly anyone who can reach the trailhead.
Getting there
- From Cannonville, follow Kodachrome Road roughly 16.5 miles, where it becomes Cottonwood Canyon Road, then bear left at Last Chance Creek Road for about a mile to the signed trailhead
- Cottonwood Canyon Road is unpaved and becomes impassable when wet — check conditions before driving it, especially after rain
- A vault toilet and two cement picnic tables sit at the trailhead
This is BLM-managed land, so access is generally unrestricted, though road conditions are the main thing to plan around rather than trail difficulty.
