Spruces Trail
A campground on Navajo Lake, not a trail of its own
(0)
About
Spruces Trail doesn't correspond to a separately maintained, named trail in Forest Service records for the Duck Creek Village area — the documented feature here is Spruces Campground itself, on the shore of Navajo Lake, and the short connector spur that drops from the Virgin River Rim Trail down to it. From the campground, both the Navajo Lake Loop and the Rim Trail are within a half mile, making Spruces a jumping-off point for real hikes rather than a trail in its own right.
What to know
- No separately documented "Spruces Trail" — the connector into Spruces Campground is the closest match
- Spruces Campground sits on Navajo Lake, about 7 miles from Duck Creek Village off Navajo Lake Road
- Virgin River Rim Trail and Navajo Lake Loop are both accessible within about a half mile of camp
- Dixie National Forest (USFS) land, open seasonally Memorial Day through Labor Day
