Day Hike
Ruby Rim Loop B Trail
The gentler loop through the ponderosa pines
(0)
About
Ruby Rim Loop B (trail #33072B) is the easier companion route to the main Ruby Rim Loop, part of the Gateway trail system on Dixie National Forest land near the mouth of Bryce Canyon National Park. Instead of following the rim directly, the B loop contours around the peak through ponderosa pine forest, hooking back up with the main Ruby Rim Loop (#33072) to extend the ride.
What to expect
- Gentler alternative to the A loop, staying in the trees rather than along the rim edge
- Pleasant forest riding - expect to encounter horses, since the trail sees equestrian use
- Managed by USFS Dixie National Forest, Powell Ranger District
A good option if you want to add distance to the Ruby Rim system without the exposure of the rim-edge section, or if you're breaking in new riders at altitude.
