Pinks Trail Viewpoint

Pink Cliff up close, a half mile from camp

(0)
Duck Creek Village, UT

About

The overlook at the end of Pinks Trail puts you at the edge of Pink Cliff, close enough to the rim that the pale Claron Formation rock is right underfoot — the same pink limestone that forms the hoodoos at Bryce Canyon and the amphitheater at Cedar Breaks, just without the crowds. It's reached by an easy half-mile walk out of Te-Ah Campground, making it a quiet, low-effort option for catching that geology up close.

What to know

  • Reached via the roughly 0.5-mile Pinks Trail out of Te-Ah Campground
  • Views over Pink Cliff's Claron Formation limestone, the same rock as Bryce Canyon and Cedar Breaks
  • Easy walk, suitable for most visitors
  • Dixie National Forest (USFS) land — no permit needed
  • Best Memorial Day through Labor Day
