Peekaboo Loop Connector
The steep switchback shortcut into the Peekaboo Loop
(0)
About
The Peekaboo Loop Connector is the entry switchback that drops hikers from the Bryce Point parking area down to the Peekaboo Loop proper. It descends around 400 feet on well-worn switchbacks through several cliff bands, then skirts the base of a stand of hoodoos before meeting the loop at a T-junction near its southern tip. It's a short, direct way in and out rather than a destination of its own — most hikers use it simply to reach the loop, then continue north toward the Queen's Garden or Navajo Loop trails.
Good to know
- About 1.2 miles one-way, typically taking under half an hour
- Steep and switchbacked the whole way — expect a real climb back out to Bryce Point
- Inside Bryce Canyon National Park, so entrance fees apply and dogs are not permitted
- Ice can linger on the shaded switchbacks well into spring; traction devices are worth carrying outside summer months
