P Hill
A local landmark, not a maintained trail
About
P Hill is a low rise in the hills around Panguitch Lake Resort, in the Dixie National Forest backcountry between Panguitch Lake and Parowan. Southern Utah has dozens of these hillside-letter landmarks — a single painted or rock-outlined initial on a slope near a town or school, usually maintained by local students rather than the Forest Service. There's no signed trailhead or maintained tread documented for this one, and it doesn't turn up in Forest Service or hiking-guide records as a visitor destination.
If you're in the area, the named trails around Panguitch Lake — Spruce Trail, Spoon Trail, and the Bunker Creek forks — are the better-documented options with real trailheads and mapped routes. Treat P Hill as a minor local landmark visible from the surrounding roads rather than a hike with its own facilities.
