North Fork Three Mile Trail
A quiet Markagunt Plateau forest route near Panguitch Lake
(0)
About
North Fork Three Mile Trail (#32035) is a Forest Service route in the Cedar City Ranger District of Dixie National Forest, on the Markagunt Plateau north of Panguitch Lake. Access runs from Panguitch via Three Mile Road (#083) west to the south fork of Three Mile Creek, then north roughly a mile to reach the north fork. It's forest and drainage terrain rather than a scenic-viewpoint destination, and it doesn't carry the visitor traffic or trailhead amenities of the trails inside Bryce Canyon proper.
Good to know
- Managed by the U.S. Forest Service, not the National Park Service — dogs are generally permitted and dispersed camping is common in the surrounding forest
- Sits within the larger Panguitch Lake/Markagunt OHV and trail network, which spans roughly 300 miles of combined routes
- Best used April through October; high elevation on the Markagunt Plateau means snow lingers into spring
