Day Hike
Navajo Lake Loop Trailhead
Starting point for the loop around Navajo Lake
(0)
About
The main trailhead for the Navajo Lake Loop sits just east of Te-Ah Campground, reached by following Navajo Lake Road south off Highway 14 about 25 miles east of Cedar City. It's a straightforward staging point — parking, a pit toilet, and the start of an 11-mile loop around the lake — with a second trailhead available at the loop's west end if you'd rather split the hike into shorter out-and-back sections.
What to know
- Reached via Highway 14 to Navajo Lake Road, then south to the Te-Ah Campground area
- Parking and a pit toilet on site; no potable water
- Starting point for the full 11–11.5 mile Navajo Lake Loop, or shorter sections of it
- Generally accessible Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather permitting
- Dixie National Forest (USFS) land — no permit needed for day use
