Natural Bridge Overlook
An 85-foot arch, no hiking required

About
Natural Bridge Overlook sits at mile 12.25 along the main park road, one of the easiest stops in Bryce Canyon to reach — a paved, wheelchair-accessible overlook right off a small parking lot. What you're looking at is technically an arch, not a bridge, spanning about 85 feet and shaped by frost-wedging and chemical weathering rather than a river running beneath it.
What to know
- No trail leads down to the arch — the view is entirely from the overlook itself
- Weather is steadily working on the opening, so the shape you see today keeps changing over time
- Bryce Canyon's International Dark Sky status makes this a solid spot for night photography, comets and star trails included
Because it's a drive-up overlook rather than a hike, it works well paired with other roadside stops along the park road on the way to or from Bryce Point.
