Little Creek Peak
A 10,000-foot ridgeline in Dixie's high country
(0)
About
Little Creek Peak tops out at 10,145 feet in the Dixie National Forest of eastern Iron County, part of the high country between I-15 and US-89 well north of Bryce Canyon proper. It's a genuine summit with a maintained forest trail to its ridgeline, not just a mapped point.
What's there
- A rock ridge spine covered in mahogany, with mixed conifer, aspen, and fir lower down
- Views open to both east and west once you're up on the spine
- Reached via the Little Creek Peak Trail, open to foot, bike, and horse travel
This is high-elevation Forest Service backcountry rather than a Bryce Canyon park hike — expect a quiet trail without the crowds or facilities of the amphitheater trails closer to Bryce Canyon City.
