Fivemile Ridge

A ridge named on the map, not on a trail sign

About

Fivemile Ridge names both a stretch of high ground in the Garfield County backcountry near Bryce Canyon City and the USGS 7.5-minute topo quadrangle that covers it, in the drainage country around Delong Creek. It doesn't carry a maintained trail or trailhead in Forest Service or park trail listings — this is a mapped landform rather than a signed hike, the kind of ridge that shows up on a topographic quad without a corresponding visitor route.

The surrounding terrain sits in Dixie National Forest's plateau backcountry, reached by forest roads rather than a marked path. If it's on your route, treat it as cross-country travel: bring a topo map or GPS app covering the Fivemile Ridge quadrangle, and check current forest road access with the local ranger district rather than expecting a trailhead sign.
