About

Delong Creek Trail (Forest Trail #32042) runs along Delong Creek and connects into the Threemile Creek drainage system in the Cedar City Ranger District of Dixie National Forest, on the Colorado Plateau side of the forest's western reach. It's listed by the Forest Service as both a day-hiking and backpacking route, following the creek corridor through forested plateau terrain typical of this part of southern Utah.

This is Forest Service backcountry rather than a park trail — dogs are generally fine off-leash courtesy, dispersed camping is common in the surrounding forest, and there's no fee station or visitor center at the trailhead the way there is inside Bryce Canyon National Park. Check current trail conditions and access directions with the Cedar City Ranger District before heading out, since seasonal weather and forest road conditions affect reach into this drainage.
