Crow Peak
Untrailed high point on the Sevier Plateau
About
Crow Peak rises to about 9,774 feet on the Sevier Plateau within Dixie National Forest, in Garfield County east of Panguitch. It ranks as one of the higher named summits in the forest but isn't tied to a maintained trail or trailhead — no visitor infrastructure, no signed route to the top. What's here is a forested high-country peak typical of the plateau country between Bryce Canyon and the Sevier River drainage: mixed conifer slopes, backcountry used by hunters in fall and by cross-country travelers off the main forest roads rest of the year.
If you're set on reaching the summit, this is a cross-country, off-trail undertaking that calls for a topo map, a Dixie National Forest travel map for road access, and a check-in with the Powell or Escalante Ranger District on current conditions — not a day-hike destination in the way Bryce Canyon's rim trails are.
