Bull Rush Peak
A mapped summit in the high plateau backcountry east of Bryce
About
Bull Rush Peak rises to about 9,380 feet in Garfield County's Dixie National Forest, in the plateau backcountry between Bryce Canyon and Escalante. Like much of this high country, it's a mapped summit rather than a built visitor destination — there's no maintained trail or trailhead documented for it, just USGS topographic coverage marking its position and elevation.
The surrounding terrain is typical high-plateau forest: mixed conifer and aspen country used by hunters and cross-country travelers more than day hikers, with the same rapid weather changes and thunderstorm exposure on open ground that mark this whole stretch of Dixie National Forest. Anyone heading toward it should plan on route-finding across forest terrain rather than following a signed path.
