About
Blue Fly-Proctor Trail (#33054) runs through the Powell Ranger District of Dixie National Forest, in the high plateau country north of Bryce Canyon along Highway 12. This is motorized-recreation ground first: popular with ATV and UTV riders, with enough varied terrain to also draw the overlanding crowd, and busy on weekends given how close it sits to the park.
Good to know
- The route crosses the same pink Claron limestone that forms Bryce's hoodoos, earning the area a local "Little Bryce" nickname
- Views open west toward Panguitch and Cedar Breaks National Monument along with the pink cliff formations up close
- Most access points off this stretch of Forest Service road are easy to reach from Highway 12
- Contact the Powell Ranger District (435-676-9300) for current road and route conditions before heading out
