Mud Lake
An undeveloped backcountry pond, off the marked trail system.
About
Mud Lake is a small, sparsely documented pond in the Dixie National Forest backcountry near Bryce Canyon. It doesn't have a dedicated Forest Service recreation page or marked trailhead the way the stocked lakes on the nearby Barker Lakes Loop do, and search turns up little beyond its name and general location in the forest.
Treat it as an unmaintained backcountry feature rather than a visitor destination: likely a shallow seasonal pond or stock pond used incidentally by hunters or forest travelers, not a hiking or fishing draw with its own infrastructure. A topo map and a call to the Escalante Ranger District are more useful than a trail guide if you want current, specific access information.
