I loved this place. A beautiful night. Then a visit to the nearby sand caves. Thank you!

Small-town civic history near Bryce Canyon's gateway
The Lions Panguitch Memorial sits within Panguitch City Park at 770 N Main Street in Panguitch, Utah — a shaded community green space near the north end of town, about 23 miles from Bryce Canyon National Park. It's a modest but genuine piece of local civic history: a memorial established by the local Lions Club honoring community members and the organization's legacy of public service in this small ranching and tourism hub.
Panguitch City Park surrounds the memorial with lawns, mature trees, picnic areas, and a playground, making it a practical rest stop on a long driving day along US-89 or US-89A. The park's most historically notable feature is the Alexander Cabin, a preserved 19th-century pioneer log cabin that opens to visitors during summer months — a tangible link to Panguitch's settlement-era roots.
Park grounds are generally accessible from morning through early evening. There's no admission fee. The park is within easy walking distance of Panguitch's main street commercial corridor, where you'll find diners, a grocery store, and a few outfitter shops. Bryce Canyon NP is roughly a 30-minute drive south on US-89. For travelers passing through rather than staying, the park makes a good leg-stretch stop between Panguitch and the park entrance.
